Game #358: Wisconsin @ Northwestern

Lake Michigan sparkled along Martin Stadium, temporary home for the Wildcats. The Badgers floated in on a two game win streak dominating Purdue and Rutgers by a combined score of 94-13. Northwestern sailed in on rocky waters with some disappointing losses, but a hopeful win at Maryland.

The Badgers made an effort to return to their roots with a ground attack that controlled the clock and withered away the Wildcats. Now, on a three game win streak, Wisconsin appears to have righted the ship. Meanwhile, Northwestern just can’t gain any consistency, and the schedule only gets tougher.

This is the last game at temporary Martin Stadium for the ‘Cats. The next two will be at Wrigley Field. Next season will showcase one more slate on the shores of Lake Michigan before the new Ryan Field opens. Despite the current frustrations, a bright future is on the horizon.
