Game 327: Miami @ #9 Clemson

This was supposed to be a preview of the ACC championship game. Then, Miami disintegrated. Clemson is a Notre Dame meltdown from being undefeated, but their ACC title hopes and national title hopes (while faint) are still pulsating.

A light gray blanket of clouds looked down upon Memorial Stadium on a cool November afternoon. Senior Day pulled the focus at the onset of the game as players in their final season with the Tigers rubbed Howard’s Rock prior to their underclassmen teammates. The rest of the team poured down The Hill before they began pouring points on the Hurricanes.

Quarterback DJ Uiagalelei led the Tigers to a 24-0 halftime advantage and Clemson never looked back. More impressive was the defense, which held Miami to under 100 yards for the first time since the 1960s. There were many reasons to play “Tiger Rag” on this Saturday.

From “The most exciting 25 seconds in college football” to “The Gathering at the Paw,” the Tigers dominated. With an appearance in the ACC title game clinched, their sights are now set on rival South Carolina and the looming potential of a playoff berth. The championship culture at Clemson continues.
