Halloween night brought together the perfect combination of black and orange. Louisiana Tech chose all black uniforms for the first time, while Sam Houston roared in with head to toe orange. Homecoming in Ruston added to the festivities as fans in costume celebrated their alma mater.
The winless BearKats felt like easy prey as they visited a Bulldog team salivating for a victory after a close loss the week prior. Sam Houston quickly felt the heat as Louisiana Tech jumped out to a 27-0 halftime lead. The second half showed no reprieve for the visiting team as the Bulldogs accumulated 646 yards of offense to bury the BearKats.
The fans brought a howling energy, especially in the first half. The night of spooks and frights fell largely on one sideline. As the Bulldogs now grow nearer to bowl eligibility, Sam Houston continues their winless funeral march toward the finish line. It’s the tale of a trick and a treat.
